Scottsdale, Arizona

Triathlon paradise?

Nestled in the heart of the Sonoran Desert, Scottsdale, Arizona, offers incredible infrastructures and community for those looking to stay active. With its sunny climate and stunning natural landscapes, it provides the perfect backdrop for outdoor adventures and athletic pursuits.

The city has an extensive network of trails and pathways, bike lanes and outdoor public pools and it's not uncommon that your neighbors are up at 5 in the morning to ride their bikes. TriScottsdale as a club strives to provide a community around those who love to swim, bike and run with guided swims, track workouts and group rides every week!

Best time to visit

Spring and fall are generally considered ideal times to visit because the temperatures are comfortable and there's less precipitation. In the summer, temperatures can be over 110°F and it's monsoon season, which means more thunderstorms and rain. However, spring and fall are also the busiest times in the valley of the sun which means traffic can sometimes be chaotic at places.

SWIMMING

The city of Scottsdale has some of the best aquatic centers with year-round access and affordable drop-in fees ($7 for non residents). Pool schedules do change every month so be sure to check the facilities schedule before driving out to them!
